Coronation Street spoilers follow for Wednesday’s (April 29) episode that is now available to view on ITVX. The episode in question will air on ITV1 on at 8:30pm.

Toyah Battersby’s (Georgia Taylor) wellbeing was the subject of much concern for sisters Leanne (Jane Danson) and Eva Price (Catherine Tyldesley) in a throwaway scene, leaving us with questions aplenty.

The ITV soap is in the middle of a dramatic week, which will see one villain wind up dead as the credits roll on Friday night.

The scenes in question were teased earlier in the year, with one of Maggie Driscoll (Pauline McLynn), Megan Walsh (Beth Nixon), Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard), Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) and Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown) set to perish.

In terms of who meets their maker, that remains to be seen but each of the character’s narratives have taken focus in a special episode this week, as the events of the fateful day play out from each of their perspectives.

Wednesday’s visit to the cobbles focused on Jodie’s story, as – with help from sister Shona (Julia Goulding) – she saw of the thugs that have been tormenting her. But an unexpected twist followed, which left Jodie livid as she uncovered that Shona did, in fact, receive a letter from her all those years ago – and didn’t reply.

This reignited Jodie’s desire to destroy Shona’s life, manipulating a drunk David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) into bed beside her, claiming that he made a move on her.

But while Jodie’s story took centre stage during the offering of the show in question, there was a small scene with Toyah, who looked noticeably distressed as Leanne and Eva chased her down Coronation Street.

Something had quite clearly happened, which left Lee and Eva worried about Toyah.

Toyah, panicked and attempting to be discreet, assured her siblings that she ‘won’t say anything’.

The question is: say anything about what?

Toyah, Leanne and Eva were previously attempting to take down child groomer Megan, so has something transpired amid their mission to do so?

Megan’s story is at the focus of an episode later in the week – one which Toyah features in – so it won’t be long before we find out our answers.

Megan, we know, also has a bloodied nose by the night’s end, so is Toyah responsible for such a thing?

And will whatever has transpired with Toyah prove instrumental in the death that is to come? Or is it something else entirely? A red herring, perhaps?

We’ll just have to wait and see but consider us very intrigued indeed.
