Megan Walsh will finally face justice on Coronation Street, as “retribution” has been confirmed.
Corrie boss Kate Brooks has promised a comeuppance is on the cards, while it will be through “the proper channels”. She appeared to confirm the child groomer will face her downfall via the legal system after her abuse victim Will Driscoll reports her to the police in upcoming scenes.
Will still thinks they are in love, with the teen denying groomer Megan manipulated him and abused him. He will soon realise the truth though and it sparks Megan’s downfall.

But speaking to The Mirror, Kate hinted that it could go either way when Megan faces justice, and it doesn’t necessarily mean she would be found guilty. After cast members were pictured filming court scenes on location, Kate teased where the storyline was headed, with “dark” moments ahead.
She told us: “The stuff with Megan and Will, there’s a bit of a journey to go on with that story. So obviously she’s been exposed, but Will at this point, he believed it was love.
“He believed it was all genuine. Scales fall from his eyes and Tim’s going to be so instrumental in kind of making them realise what’s gone on and how unacceptable and how wrong it was.
“It’s about the family falling apart, but then kind of building themselves back up again as they try desperately to kind of repair the damage that Megan’s done. Obviously, there are soap Gods, and as in soap God’s law, there’ll be some kind of retribution for Megan.
“She cannot get off of this scot-free. We will go down the proper channels. Whether it goes to plan or not, I cannot say, but it goes down quite a very big path.

“Will will be quite badly affected by what he’s been through with Megan. It does go a bit dark as well.” It comes as Beth Nixon, who plays Megan, confessed an exit was on the way as her character could not be redeemed.
She said to The Mirror: “I’ve loved playing Megan. And then the public reaction, I think obviously people hate her and, she’s a cow. But then it’s quite interesting because I think there’s people who are trying to understand her because we’ve never gone into why she’s doing the things that she’s doing.
“Like, why is she grooming young boys? There’s no justification because it’s unjustifiable, isn’t it, really? But I think that’s really nice from the storytelling point of view that there’s no point in justifying it, we don’t know why she’s doing it and it doesn’t matter.
“It’s been interesting to see the public try and figure out like, I wonder why she’s doing this? Why is she doing that? Like, it makes no sense, why would she do that? But it does make no sense because why would you be attracted to a child?
“Megan, is unredeemable.” Beth also told The Mirror how Megan needed to be punished, and that she understood the call from viewers for her to face prison.
