Sarah Platt (Tina O’Brien) hasn’t been completely herself since being attacked in Coronation Street, and boss Carla Connor-Swain (Alison King) is starting to worry.

On the fateful night that saw Theo Silverton (James Cartwright) lose his life, Sarah had a terrifying experience of her own when she was knocked unconscious by Jodie Ramsey (Olivia Frances-Brown).

She was hit on the back of the head after walking into No.8 and finding the place trashed, and was luckily found by Shona Platt (Julia Goulding), who urged David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) to ring an ambulance.

Shona assumed that the men who had been after Jodie had come back for her and Sarah had been caught in the crossfire, completely unaware that it was Jodie who’d actually caused all the damage.

When Jodie returned to the cobbles and spun a whopping great fib about being kidnapped after witnessing Sarah’s attack, Shona was won over.

However, with Jodie having lied to Kit Green (Jacob Roberts) by insisting she had no idea who was behind the attack, Sarah has been left feeling unsettled and without a clue as to who was responsible.

In upcoming scenes, it appears that the ordeal has taken its toll on Sarah, as colleague Fiz Stape (Jennie McAlpine) warns boss Carla that she appears to have lost her confidence.

When Carla suggests that Michael Bailey (Ryan Russell) take on some of Sarah’s work, she immediately takes offence.

Unfortunately, things get too much for Sarah later in the week when she makes a mistake on an order, and Michael jumps to her rescue to cover for her.

However, when Sarah loses her temper, Carla urges her to take some time off, before later finding her getting drunk in the Rovers.

At the end of the week, Carla calls Sarah into the office and reveals that she’s leaving Michael in charge of their new contract.

To further rub salt into the wound, she orders her to take some time off, pointing out that she’s clearly not herself.
