On today’s Young and the Restless (Monday, September 8, 2025), Claire questions Kyle’s loyalty, Victor surprises her with support, and Audra faces Holden’s threats while Sally and Billy prepare for their big launch.

Newman Enterprises

Claire drops in on Victor at his office and mentions she was cleaning out her dad’s office… It was sweet to see the pictures he had of her and her mother, and he’d kept a note that Victor had given him when he first started.

Victor smiles. He says Claire deserves everything. He’s glad she’s working at Newman with him!

Claire says she’s still figuring out who she is. Because she was so horrible before, it’s important to her to be a decent person, but some people think that they can walk all over her! She needs to find a balance between being kind and compassionate and not taking it when people hurt her.

Victor says nobody walks over the Newmans! He wonders if she’s hinting that he forgave Kyle Abbott too quickly.

Claire says that Kyle told her that he “played” Audra when they were in Nice… He kissed her and didn’t tell Claire about it right away! Audra is saying that Kyle can’t resist her, but he denies it… It’s making her doubt herself! She says that Kyle proposed marriage to her, but she’s not sure… He put her on the spot, but she feels manipulated now. She was angry when she thought Victor was being unfair to Kyle, but she’s wondering if her grandfather was right all along!

Victor says he’s not angry at Kyle anymore. He tested Kyle, and he passed the test. Kyle loves her and would do anything for her!

Claire is surprised; she didn’t expect her granddad to say that! Kyle kissed another woman and lied about it… Is that how you treat someone you love? She wonders how Victor can be okay with that.

Victor says he feels that Kyle did what he had to do to force the issue with Audra. Claire needs to understand that Kyle passed the test, and Audra failed. Kyle has impressed her and the fact that he was willing to strike a deal with him made him trust him more!

Claire’s confused… What deal? Kyle mentioned he made a proposal to Victor that was accepted… What was it?

Victor raises an eyebrow. All she needs to know is that Kyle loves her! He didn’t tell her about the kiss because he didn’t want to hurt her!

Claire just wants everything to make sense… The proposal doesn’t feel right, and neither does the deal Kyle made with Victor.

Victor says that she needs to talk with Kyle and listen to her heart.

Claire smiles and gives him a hug, thanking him for listening to her. She leaves the office.

Victor sighs. “Oh, boy.”

Crimson Lights

Esther gives Victoria a coffee that’s got nutmeg sprinkled on top, just like Cole liked it. She says Cole was a wonderful man and returns to the counter.

Kyle wanders over and says hello. He knows she’s heard about their breakup from Claire and wonders if he really deserves her… Or ever will.

Victoria says Claire is her own person and she respects her decisions. Claire has had someone telling her what to think her whole life, and she won’t do that.

Kyle nods. He screwed up by not telling Claire right away.

Victoria thinks the situation won’t resolve itself… It’s going to take time. How did he think it was okay to keep something like this from the woman he loved?

Kyle says he knows Claire has gone through too much in her life, and she doesn’t deserve to suffer any more… Especially because of Audra!

Victoria knows he means it, but his actions are the problem… Not his words.

Kyle says he was stupid; he wanted to have proof… His “gotcha!” moment! He should have told Claire right away!

Victoria nods. He should have! It’s not going to be an easy fix; Claire needs her space. Claire loves him, but he’s lost her trust. Audra is here, and she’s not going away any time soon… Audra has nothing to lose, and she won’t let this go!

Kyle only wants to make Claire happy. He’s got to show her he’s in for the long haul. He asked her to marry him last night, and he wants to make a family with her!

Victoria says that a grand gesture after kissing another woman makes it look like he was trying to change the subject instead of facing the issue head-on.

Kyle needs her to be honest with him… Does Claire think his proposal was nothing more than words?

Victoria shrugs. Claire loves him, but sometimes love isn’t enough! Who knows how she’s going to handle it? This is her first time being in love! The bigger the mistake, the longer it’s going to take to fix it.

Kyle waxes poetic about his love for Claire.

Victoria smiles. Maybe there is a way she can help him! She’ll talk to her to see where her head is at so they can figure out what comes next. Don’t make her regret it!

Claire walks in and says hello. She asks her mom if she can have a minute with Kyle alone.

Victoria nods. She leaves the cafe so the two can talk.

They make their way to a table on the patio, and Kyle says he loves her and shouldn’t have surprised her with the proposal. He never meant to put any pressure on her and says that when Harrison is back, they’ll talk things over and will be able to talk to Harrison as a couple and figure out where to go from there.

Claire says that she was ready to give him the benefit of the doubt, but now she’s learned that he’s keeping more secrets from her! When does it end?

Kyle asks what she thinks he’s keeping from her.

Claire asks if the deal with Victor sounds familiar… It’s probably the same deal that he mentioned making with Victor and never mentioned again. Once again, he’s leaving her in the dark! Was he protecting her with the agreement, or was he protecting himself?

Society

Sally and Audra meet up to talk business. Sally says they’re an amazing team. She reminds her that their launch party will bring them to the top.

Audra isn’t sure she should be there… She doesn’t want to take the public’s eye off of Sally! She’s afraid people will rub her nose in her own failure.

Sally says that she needs to be there… She’s an integral part of the company, and nothing can keep her down! Living well is the best revenge!

Audra worries that she’ll kill the mood.

Sally reassures her that she’ll be fine.

Audra says she’ll be there. She vents a bit about Kyle; how dare he threaten her?

Sally says she’s been a threat to Kyle… And she went after his relationship!

Audra laughs. Victor paid her; she was just the messenger! And how dare Claire call her pathetic? She says that Claire threatened her after she called her out for trying to poison her family… That is pathetic!

Sally tries to talk her down, she wants to make sure Audra is perfect tonight… Not spinning out!

Audra promises she’ll be calm yet energetic… Charming, even!

Sally says she doesn’t have to talk to everyone at the party. She may have forgotten to mention it, but Kyle and Claire are on the guest list!

Audra sighs. Why are Kyle and “Princess Poison” coming tonight?

Sally says that Kyle’s dad, Jack, is funding Abbott Communications. They might not even show up!

Audra thinks they should consider Claire a threat and bar her from entry.

Sally asks what happens if she runs into them at the party. She asks her to promise to put her grudges on hold and act in the best interests of the company… Nobody needs to be arrested!

Audra agrees. “Yes ma’am!”

Sally leaves the restaurant just as Holden walks in.

Audra asks Holden if his “drunk girlfriend” is sleeping it off.

Holden tells her to stop… From now on, she needs to leave Claire alone!

Audra laughs and says that Holden’s being awfully protective of his “little friend.” Claire would have gladly murdered her family, but here’s Holden playing hero!

Holden says Claire is a good person.

Audra says Claire is taken by a successful, powerful Abbott. Holden doesn’t have a chance with her!

Holden says he’s Claire’s friend. Audra needs to leave her alone!

Audra asks what will happen if she doesn’t.

Holden says that if she doesn’t, Claire, Kyle, and Sally, her new boss, would probably love to know exactly what happened in Los Angeles!

Audra asks if he’s going to tell the world about it.

Holden says she has one friend in Genoa City, and a job that can be yanked away in a heartbeat… That won’t survive a week if anyone knows what he knows.

Audra knows he’s a big part of the L.A. story… She’s survived this far, and she isn’t afraid of him or anyone else!

Holden says this information getting out would destroy her… He only cleaned up her mess, but her stain won’t ever go away!

Audra says she always thought Holden was a good guy. She only kept her distance from him when he came to town because they both needed to leave the past behind! She never meant to hurt him! If he’s putting his feelings for her on Claire, then it makes sense why he’s all worked up!

Holden tells her to leave Kyle and Claire alone, and it won’t be a problem. Don’t make him do something he regrets! He takes a last sip of his drink and leaves the restaurant.

Billy’s Apartment

Sally enters with her dress for the party. She says she’ll need Billy’s help to zip up her dress… And together, they’ll make a hell of an entrance to the party!

Billy asks if she needs him to do anything.

Sally laughs… Can he calm Audra down? She’s being paranoid, moody, and angry. Sally hopes Audra can get out her mood before the party.

Billy laughs. So Audra’s all worked up and pissed off! He assumes it has to do with Kyle.

Sally says Audra is her right-hand at the event and hopes that Audra will stay away from Kyle and Claire at the event; she doesn’t need her flipping a chair or anything!

Billy asks if Audra will be able to control herself.

Sally isn’t sure… When push comes to shove, Audra might do anything when she feels attacked!

Billy doesn’t like that Sally needs to worry about Audra on an important night like this… If Audra is acting like this on day one, what will she be like on day 100?

Sally says Audra is the right person for the job. Audra will get over this!

Billy promises to keep an eye on Audra tonight and will assign her a security detail so that Sally doesn’t need to worry about anything other than the launch of her new company.

Sally corrects him. “Our company.”

Billy grins. It’s more her company than his! He pulls out something from behind a couch cushion and shows her. It’s a beautiful, jeweled gold brooch.

Sally gasps. Where did he get this?

Billy says that it was Katherine Chancellor’s… Katherine had given it to Delia. Chloe gave her the okay for Sally to wear it tonight, and it’ll bring her good luck as she launches the company that bears Delia’s last name!

Sally says she’d be honored to wear it. She hugs him and thanks him for trusting her with the brooch and with Abbott Communications.

Billy thinks it’s going to be special… A new beginning!

Newman Enterprises

Victoria drops by her dad’s office.

Victor tells her that Claire just left; she had questions about Kyle and his proposal. It seems that Kyle is afraid of losing her!

Victoria says that Claire is wondering if she has all the information… Maybe something more did happen between Kyle and Audra in Nice!

Victor shakes his head. Nothing more happened!

Victoria finds her father’s approval of Kyle strange.

Victor says that Kyle earned his approval.

Victoria laughs. She can’t believe Victor is defending Claire’s need to make her own decisions! She’s jealous because he never did the same for her! She says it’s obvious that Claire adores Kyle, but she can’t just jump into a marriage. And Audra… Audra needs to go away!

Victor agrees. They need to show Audra the door!
