Yellowstone star looks unrecognizable in first look at ‘exquisitely underrated’ comedy
Yellowstone star Josh Lucas looks completely transformed in the upcoming second season of Palm Royale, premiering on Apple TV+ next month.
The offbeat comedy stars Kristen Wiig as a determined social climber trying to infiltrate an exclusive high society circle in 1960s Florida.

Although earning just 56 percent on Rotten Tomatoes, the inaugural season has gradually built a dedicated following who argue it’s been “underrated” by critics.
Thankfully, it also proved popular enough to warrant a second season, which will reunite Wiig’s Maxine Dellacorte-Simmons with Lucas, who portrays her on-screen husband Douglas Darby Dellacorte-Simmons.
Lucas, who has also starred in movies Sweet Home Alabama and Ford v Ferrari, is known to Yellowstone fans for his role as a younger version of Kevin Costner’s lead character John Dutton in flashback scenes, reports the Mirror.

However, he looks entirely different in the preview for Palm Royale season two, swapping his cowboy hat and denim for a leather jacket, sunglasses and aviator’s cap.
Fans who have already seen the first season will remember Lucas sporting a 60s-style haircut, complete with sideburns, and a clean-shaven look.
The new season will continue with Maxine dealing with Douglas’ betrayal as well as the looming birth of his child with another woman.
If you haven’t yet tuned into the first season of Palm Royale, now’s the perfect time as new viewers have until November 12th before the second season kicks off.

The debut series has been met with rave reviews from fans, with one Redditor commenting: “Okay, what is up with the rating? This show is fabulous.
“A lot of people don’t understand the tone of the show,” another fan agreed.
“It’s camp, it’s fun, it’s a technicolor spectacular I wish everyone could just enjoy it and let it grow for a few more seasons.”
