Tyrone makes a horrifying discovery about young Ruby in Coronation Street
Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) has been through the ringer in recent months. Now confined to a wheelchair as a result of a heinous hit and run, things are incredibly tense in the Dobbs household and things look set to be rocked further in next weeks Coronation Street.
Carl Webster (Jonathan Howard) mowed poor Ty down in the street before fleeing the scene, leaving him with two fractured vertebrae and a blood clot pressing against his spine.

He woke up horrified to learn that he had no feeling in his legs and, although some has returned, doctors have warned him that it could be years before he regains complete feeling, if it ever happens.
Returning home in a wheelchair, Tyrone has struggled to adjust to the limitations his new reality has brought, suffering a fall when trying to complete his exercises.

With Fiz Dobbs (Jennie McAlpine) incensed that Ty’s mum, Cassie Plummer (Claire Sweeney), would leave him alone, she banished her from the house.
Cassie’s attempt to make amends with a lunch at the Bistro did nothing but bring further trouble to the struggling family. Tyrone burned with embarrassment as he was wheeled through the restaurant and was further upset when he struggled to cut his food.
Throwing his plate to the floor, Tyrone made it clear he wanted to leave, but before they could, Fiz realised her bag was missing. Luckily, Ollie Driscoll (Raphael Akuwudike), sprung to the rescue, but all his heroic act did is leave Tyrone feeling inadequate.

Of course, in soap land, it doesn’t rain, it pours, and another problem has been lurking in the Dobbs’ household. Hope Stape (Isabella Flanagan) has been receiving nasty messages from a troll, leaving her with deep insecurities about her appearance.
After receiving another malicious text after her Halloween makeover at the salon, Hope accuses Jake Windass (Bobby Bradshaw) after catching him laughing. Hope finally opened up to Fiz and Cassie, while Jake swore his innocence.
Unconvinced, Hope smashes his phone up the following day, leading to a confrontation between Fiz, Tyrone and Jake’s mum and dad, Gary Windass (Mikey North) and Izzy Armstrong (Cherylee Houston). Tyrone is blindsided, having heard nothing of the trolling situation, with Fiz having kept him in the dark, unwilling to add any additional stress.

Next week sees Ruby Dobbs (Billie Naylor) ask for a new phone, having been picked on at school for having a ‘cringey and clapped’ one. Tyrone tells her they can’t afford a new phone, leaving her furious.
When Hope comes home later and shows Tyrone the latest malicious text she’s received, he’s chilled to read ‘cringey and clapped’, and immediately starts to suspect that Hope’s bully could be closer to home.
Will Tyrone confront his own daughter, and is she behind the campaign of abuse?
