‘Grey’s Anatomy’ Star Ellen Pompeo Brings Her Three Rarely Seen Kids to the World Series
Ellen Pompeo, 55, is best known for her over 20 years on the ABC hit drama Grey’s Anatomy, but to daughters Stella and Sienna, and son Eli, Pompeo is best known as mom. The stunning TV star and her husband of 18 years, Chris Ivery, are known to keep a low profile and value their privacy. Public outings with her three kids are rare for Pompeo, but TV’s Meredith Grey made an exception to watch her hometown team compete in the 2025 World Series.
Pompeo, Ivery, and their three children were spotted at Game 5 of the World Series. While the Dodgers suffered a crushing 6-2 loss to the mighty Toronto Blue Jays, Grey’s Anatomy fans were winners with an Ellen Pompeo and family sighting.
Pompeo looked ballpark-chic in glasses, a newsboy cap, and Dodger blue attire, while Ivery and the kids all sported on-brand blue as well. Pompeo’s kids beamed from ear to ear as they entered the World Series game and rooted on the Boys in Blue.
“Beautiful family,” commented one fan, while another added, “Their kids are getting so big now.”
Ellen Pompeo: Family Life
The Massachusetts-born actress and husband Chris Ivery, a music producer and manager, married in 2007 after being introduced through mutual friends. While Pompeo and Ivery’s kids aren’t fixtures at mom and dad’s red-carpet events, the Ivery kids have been regulars on the Grey’s Anatomy set, even visiting to watch Ellen direct an episode. The stylish kids have also joined mom and dad for fashion shows in New York and Europe.
Pompeo, who has been the star of Grey’s Anatomy for over two decades, took a step back from her lead role on the show in Season 19 to focus on other projects. Pompeo still narrates the show and serves as an executive producer and does appear in Season 22 of the beloved Shonda Rhimes produced series.
Despite her continued involvement in Grey’s Anatomy, Pompeo told People Magazine she’s “super happy” to have taken a step back from her role on the show, noting that spending more time with her kids was at the top of her to-do list. Judging by the smiles on her kids’ faces as they got ready to take in Game 5 of the World Series, they’re as happy as she is to have more time together.
