EMMERDALE has k.i.l.l.e.d off a soap legend in harrowing scenes.

The ITV soap opera broadcast a special two-hander episode between father and daughter, Marlon Dingle and April Windsor.

Fans of the show know that April has become embroiled in a world of crime, d.r.u.g dealing and child prostitution under the watchful eye of the cunning Ray and Celia.

It has seen the teen brutally m.u.r.d.e.r an older man who had paid Ray and Celia to have sex with the teen when she decided she could not go through with it.

So far, April has not told anybody about what she has been caught up in but during a heart-to-heart with her dad, she finally broke down and told how she had m.u.r.d.e.r.e.d the man before revealing all on what had been going on.

In sheer disbelief, a tearful Marlon insisted that they must go to the police and report Ray and Celia for what they had done.

He said to April that it was the only way they would be able to get out of the “nightmare”.

But April pleaded with him not to, admitting that Ray and Celia were dangerous and that they would come for the family and k.i.l.l them all.

But as April and Marlon went back-and-forth over what to do, Ray arrived at their home and quickly pulled out a gun.

Seemingly aware that April had lifted the lid on what was going on to her father, Ray had no choice but to shoot and K.I.L.L Marlon.

He shot the Emmerdale legend straight in the chest leading him to collapse to the ground.

The colour drained from Marlon’s face as he slumped on the kitchen floor, bleeding out.

Marlon said to her: “I’m so sorry.”

A sobbing April then added: “No, this was all me. I shouldn’t have told you anything.

“No, stop it! You are not dying on me, please!”

As Marlon continued to grasp for breath, he could be heard saying: “Never… Never… Never forget… how much I love you.”

His hand then lost grip of April’s arm as he shockingly d.i.e.d in front of his daughter.

April roared as she clung onto Marlon’s lifeless body.

However, all was not as it seemed.

As a flashback of April and Marlon’s day played out following his ‘d.e.a.t.h’, it soon transpired that it was all a figment of April’s imagination.

The events of Marlon’s shooting and d.e.a.t.h were all revealed to be what April anticipates would happen if she were to admit the scenario she has found herself caught up in.

As the episode drew to a close, April stayed quiet on Ray and Celia and soon left home without breathing a word.
