Emmerdale’s Amy Walsh has thrown soap fans into a frenzy as she posed alongside one of her famous siblings

Emmerdale fans have been left floored after discovering Amy Walsh has a very famous sibling after the pair recently attended an awards ceremony together.

Amy, 38, who is renowned for playing Tracy Robinson on the ITV soap since 2014, is one of three well-known sisters who have all starred in popular television shows.

Last month, Amy, who is expecting her second baby with former EastEnders star Toby-Alexander Smith, attended the Pride of Britain Awards alongside her sister Kimberley Walsh.

Kimberley, 43, a singer, model and actress, shot to fame on ITV’s Popstars: The Rivals in 2002. She is best known as a member of the pop group Girls Aloud.

Taking to Instagram, Amy has shared a stunning snap alongside Kimberley as they posed for photos on the red carpet at the event that took place in London on October 20.

She captioned the post: “It’s been one hell of a week that started off on Monday at the most amazing @prideofbritain awards with my big sister and our amazing @encantatalentmgmt team!

“So grateful to get the opportunity to go to these wards and celebrate the amazing bravery and stories of the incredible winners.”

Amy added: “What a night. Westlife…omg my 16 year old self nearly combust. Gorgeous to bump into some friends too, Thanks so much for having me @prideofbritain it was an honour. Thanks @lisalaudat1 for the incredible hair and hair up.”

The post has sparked a reaction among fans who were unaware that Amy and Kimberly are sisters. Taking to the comments, one person wrote: “Omg didn’t know you and Kimberley are sisters. You can definitely see the resemblance and can easily pass as twins! Looking fab sisters!!”

A second confessed: “I was today years old when I realised you and Kimberley are sisters!” A third asked: “Are you twins?” while another added: “Wow, stunning sisters.”

Amy has been a fixture on Emmerdale for over a decade, since her character Tracy was initially introduced as a love interest of Sam Dingle (James Hooton).

Despite her relationship with Sam being short-lived and ending in deceit, Tracy found herself settling into village life, even working for Val Pollard (Charlie Hardwick) at the B&B.

Fast forward to 2016, Tracy tied the knot with David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden), before eventually falling for her late husband, Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter).

However, Amy isn’t the only member of her real-life family to have appeared on Emmerdale as her older sister, Sally Walsh, also had a stint on the soap, playing teenager Lyn Hutchinson between 1997 and 2000.

Lyn was known for her tumultuous relationships with Roy Glover (Nicky Evans) and Marlon Dingle (Mark Charnock), whom she cheated on with Scott Windsor (Ben Freeman).

After discovering Scott’s affair with his stepsister Kelly (Adele Silva), Lyn decided to leave the village permanently in 2000.

Since her Emmerdale stint, Sally has appeared in a variety of shows including Cold Feet, Fat Friends, The Bill, Heartbeat, Coronation Street, Doctors and EastEnders.
