EastEnders star reveals he’s having surgery after painful injury as he shares video from hospital bed…
AN EASTENDERS star has revealed today that he underwent surgery after a painful injury.
Sharing a slew of videos from his hospital bed on Wednesday, soap star Matt Lapinskas, who played Anthony Moon in EastEnders from 2011 until 2012, revealed how he was undergoing surgery because of an injury he had sustained in the spring.
In the video, which was uploaded to his Instagram stories, he explained how this year had been amazing for him, but revealed how he injured his shoulder a few months ago.
“It’s been really painful,” he explained in a video as he sat beside a hospital bed.
“Today is the day I get shoulder surgery,” he revealed.
Hours later, Matt reappeared on his stories from his bed following undergoing the operation.

“Hey team, out of surgery now. Very drowsy, but success,” he affirmed in his video.
“I’m still here. In a lot of pain, but it’s all good.”
He then gave an update to fans on Wednesday evening where he revealed the pain had got “very bad”.
“The pain has got very bad, so I’m having to stay in overnight.
“Keep getting hot and cold sweats and stuff, so they’re just going to monitor me tonight.
“I’m still okay. It’s all good. It went well,” he added.

Matt then explained: “I saw the surgeon after and he said it was very manky but he’s cleaned it up and yeah, just in a bit of pain, but we’re gonna push through.
“My lovely wife’s just gone out to get me some bits and bobs and then I will be trying to get some sleep.
“I don’t think I’m gonna have much sleep with this,” he concluded before thanking everyone for their messages.
In EastEnders, Matt’s role of Anthony was the son of Eddie Moon (David Essex).
He took on the role from July 2011 until August 2012.
As well as starring in EastEnders, Matt has also popped up in Hollyoaks.
In 2022, Matt took on the role of a criminal named Alex Ramsden.

And in 2013, following his EastEnders stint, Matt took part in Dancing On Ice.
He was a contestant in the eighth series of Dancing On Ice and finished as the runner-up with skating partner Brianne Delcourt.
