EastEnders spoilers follow.
EastEnders shared an update regarding Stacey Slater following her major move, though Zoe had to face Jean’s wrath as the fallout in the Slater household continued.
Thursday’s (2 October) episode of the BBC soap saw the beloved character depart for a new life in Brazil, though it didn’t come without drama, as she discovered that former flame Max Branning had been with her cousin, Zoe.

In a heartbreaking end, Jean failed to make it back in time to wave goodbye to her daughter before she moved, as she was delayed getting back to Walford after being stuck on the tube.
She soon voiced her displeasure towards Zoe, with Monday’s (6 October) episode beginning as both Kat and Alfie Moon confronted Zoe over her actions. Despite the barbs that were coming her way, Zoe brushed them off.

Jean, meanwhile, told Eve Panesar-Unwin and Freddie Slater that Stacey had settled in nicely following her move to South America, though it came amid a torrent of criticism in reference to Zoe.
Zoe and Kat arrived and the former apologised to Jean, though Kat didn’t buy any of her words. Jean still elected to turf Zoe out of the house, though she quipped that Stacey was “probably glad of the peace”.
Freddie managed to pierce through Jean’s spiky demeanour and get her to explain her feelings fully. He reassured her that the bad days “would pass” and eventually lead to better ones.
Stacey’s exit was facilitated by Lacey Turner’s departure from the soap, with the actor announcing in May that she had decided to call time on her second stint, though she did confirm that she would return in the future.

Elsewhere in the episode, Callum Highway, Johnny Carter and the Mitchell family all got a shock as Ben Mitchell made his return to Walford when he arrived to attend the funeral of Callum’s father Jonno.
The developments come at a tricky time for Callum in particular, who was pressured by Kathy Beale to reveal the extent of his relationship with Johnny to his husband – how will Ben Mitchell react to the news if he hears it?
