DOOL James Reynold’s Talks Abe’s Two Greatest Loves In New Book
Days of Our Lives spoilers suggest that Abe Carver has had some great loves over the years since entering the canvas in 1981.
With that said, he’s only been married twice: once to Lexie Carver (Renee Jones) and his current marriage to Paulina Price (Jackée Harry). James Reynold recently talked about his two characters’ two wives in a new book.

Reynolds recently talked about Abe’s love life in a new book titled “Super Soap Scenes: A Time Capsule of Daytime Drama’s Greatest Moments”.
Some months back, Abe found himself in a predicament where he thought he was losing Paulina, and Lexie’s spirit showed up in the hospital.
This begs the question – did Abe feel torn over his feelings for Lexie and his current love for Paulina, who was on the cusp of dying, too?
In the book, Reynolds says that Abe and Lexi had a magnetic, fiery connection and were soul mates. He notes, “They were ambitious; a young, upwardly mobile couple. That was something that defined them. There was such a connection between Abe and Lexie.”
Meanwhile, he and Paulina have a very mature relationship. Reynold states that some issues between him and Lexie that he may have been more passionate about, he is more “understanding” with his second wife – he’s more willing to back off when it comes to some conflict.
What’s Next?
It sounds like Reynold is fond of both of Abe’s “great loves” and appreciates their differences. Still, what’s next for Abe and Paulina?
From the sounds of it, now that Johnny DiMera’s (Carson Boatman) trial is over, could he and Chanel DiMera (Raven Bowens) decide to grow their family through adoption? Could Abe and Paulina welcome a new grandchild into the family?
Whether or not that happens, the two can look forward to seeing Lani Price-Grant (Sal Stowers) and Eli Grant (Lamon Archey), who are slated to return to Salem very soon.
At the very least, Paulina and Abe will get to see their children, and the twins will enjoy some family time!
