Ex-lovers face their feelings, a heroine finds herself in serious danger, and a new romance is on the verge of taking off – no matter who’s opposed to it, according to the Days of our Lives spoilers. Meanwhile, a rock solid couple appears to be headed for some trouble, now that a man from the woman’s past suddenly returns to Salem. Truth in the Darkness

Tensions run high when EJ (Dan Feuerriegel) and Belle (Martha Madison) are trapped alone together in the hospital elevator. As the mood gets more and more hostile, EJ makes a suggestion to turn things around. “We can speak to each other like humans who were once in love,” he declares.

“Huh,” huffs Belle, who’s clearly not interested. Then, EJ responds, “Or, in my case, one who still is.” Belle looks back at him clearly surprised and touched.

Fire and Fury

Holly (Ashley Puzemis) has had enough of the state of her complicated love life with Tate (Leo Howard), specifically the inclusion of his estranged baby mama, Sophia (Rachel Boyd), in it. “I can’t do it,” she bemoans. “I can’t be a part of this love triangle.”

Later Holly is asleep in her dorm room, but when she rolls over in bed a burning candle falls to the ground and a fire starts. “I smell smoke,” says Brady (Eric Martsolf), who’s visiting Tate in his room on campus.

A frantic Tate goes looking for Holly and approaches Ari (Marissa Reyes). “Where’s Holly?” he asks her. Ari starts to panic. “Oh my God!” she cries out. “Maybe she’s still in our room.”

Coming Clean

Cat (AnnaLynne McCord) has a heart-to-heart with Chad (Billy Flynn) about the state of their blossoming romance. “Still planning to tell your family about us?” Cat asks him.

“There’s no going back now,” Chad assures her with a smile. Then the twosome shares a passionate kiss.

Past and Present

Meanwhile, Alex (Robert Scott Wilson) senses that something is off with Stephanie (Abigail Klein). “Steph, what’s going on? Why don’t you tell me? Who’s his cousin?” he questions his girlfriend.

Later, there’s a knock at Stephanie’s apartment door. She opens it, and someone she obviously doesn’t want to see is standing there. “Hey, Steff,” the mystery man greets her.
