On today’s Days of Our Lives recap:

Brady Pub: Sophia is working when Arianna Grace approaches. Sophia saw her studying with Holly at their table and notes how she missed her first film class. She is kind of annoyed Holly is in the class because Tate is there and her former crush is teaching. Arianna is stunned to learn Holly had the hots for Johnny.

Arianna Grace returns to the table and notices Holly is distracted by Sophia’s presence. Just then, Tate walks in and Holly tells Arianna it’s time to go.

Sophia wonders why Tate is there as he isn’t on shift. He wanted to make sure she was still coming to his dorm that evening where they can watch their movie for class.

Horton Square: Leo and Javi have been shopping for clothes for Little T. Javi is clearly upset as the baby could be adopted any day. Leo notes they could offer the clothes as a gift to the new parents. He begins to panic about the parents possibly being all kinds of awful. Javi tries to calm him but Leo admits he is scared about giving Little T up.

Javi says they have to accept they have to give him up. Leo understands but says he is falling more in love with the little guy everyday and is certain the feeling is mutual. He immediately apologizes as he remembers about Javi’s little girl. He begins to cry as giving up Little T is bringing up terrible memories. Just then, Chanel approaches and fawns all over the baby. She inquires if he is ready to be adopted. Javi says the waiting period is over and Chanel says she and Johnny were hoping to adopt him.

Leo is gut punched as it makes it real that Little T will actually be leaving them. Chanel gets it and says, if they do adopt the baby, Javi and Leo can come visit anytime they want. They have a cute back and forth which makes Javi and Leo feel much better about the potential adoption.

Leo remembers Johnny and Chanel were going to adopt Sophia and Tate’s baby. Chanel confirms but says it fell through because they hit a snag. In all transparency, Chanel says Johnny wasn’t ready to be a dad. She assures them Johnny is now ready and feels like adopting Little T was meant to be.

DiMera Mansion – Living Room: Kate arrives to see Tony but instead runs into Anna (Yay!). She assumes Kate is there since Tony crashed the press conference for her “tawdry little romance novel.” Kate says her concern is for Philip. Anna knows he’s in quite a mess because Tony tells her everything.

Kate says she is trying to get ahead of the situation. Anna thinks Tony would rather deal with Xander and Philip directly and mentions the meet up they have scheduled for the next day. She assures Kate if they don’t agree to Tony’s terms, Philip’s fraud will be exposed. Anna wonders who wrote the letter and Kate says it was neither her nor Philip. She admits it was Vivian and explains Philip was in a very vulnerable space. Anna can’t believe Kate didn’t stop her son from getting into such trouble.

Kate says she still wants to see Tony but Anna thinks she’s wasting her time. She thinks Kate should focus on convincing Philip and Xander to give Tony what he wants, DiMera Enterprises back where it belongs.

Bookstore: Holly tells Arianna Grace how mean Tate was, but she thought he apologized. Holly knows Tate doesn’t want Sophia. That being said, Sophia is going all in with her attempts. She is tired of fighting what feels like a losing battle. Arianna gets why Holly is angry but is worried she is taking things too far.

Holly thinks Sophia will never give Tate the information he wants but will continue to dangle the carrot. Arianna Grace thinks Holly is in her head and creating stories. She reminds her Tate said he has no interest in Sophia. Holly gets it but thinks Tate will eventually fall into her trap. Arianna thinks it’s Holly who is falling into Sophia’s trap. She reminds Holly how much Tate loves her and hopes she finds that kind of love someday. Holly gets it but wants to be mad for just one day. Just then, Arianna remembers she has to go to return a video game to Aaron. Holly thinks he is flirting with her and notes how he is a really nice guy, but Arianna says there is no chemistry.

Tate and Aaron’s Dorm: Sophia and Tate arrive and discuss movies. He asks why she didn’t stay at the dorms and Sophia says she got a late start and then Holly had snatched up Arianna Grace. She promises not to mention Holly again as tonight is all about them.

Sophia is dismayed when Tate brings up the adoption. He simply doesn’t understand why she won’t help him find their daughter so he can meet her just once. Sophia, once again lies by saying she has no more information. Tate doesn’t believe her and asks if their child is even alive. Sophia is pissed Tate got her there under false pretenses and is ready to bolt.

Sophia is furious as she thinks Tate was trying to trick her into thinking something romantic was going to happen. Tate backpedals and says he was hoping they could just see where things went. She asks about Holly and he says they are in a bad place and it might be over. She tries to leave but he stops her with a kiss.

Brady Pub: Paulina and Chanel meet up and discuss Johnny’s first day of teaching and the busted up presser in the square. Chanel drops the news she and Johnny are, once again, in the market for adopting a baby. Paulina is thrilled and asked her to dinner because they want to adopt the firehouse baby. She notes how she ran into Leo and Javi with Little T and feels like it’s fate. Chanel wonder if, as mayor, she would be willing to put in a good word.

Hernandez House: Javi and Leo arrive home. Javi is glad they ran into Chanel and thinks she and Johnny will make good parents. Leo isn’t totally convinced as he thinks back to how Johnny flaked before. In fact, he thinks Johnny is a mess with a capital M.” Javi inquires and Leo explains about Johnny’s dalliance with Joy and how he almost shot his father. He thinks maybe Johnny isn’t fit to be a father to Little T. Javi says they don’t get a say but Leo thinks they should.
