Aaron hinted there were plenty of twists and surprises ahead, with something completely unexpected set to shake up the newcomer family on the cobbles.
It will continue into the new year, though even Aaron remains in the dark about how it will conclude.
He told us: “There is a huge storyline coming up for the family which you don’t see coming.
“It will drag out for a while, it has to, but when it eventually happens it will get a reaction.
“It will test the family, Ben and Eva, and it will test Maggie. It remains to be seen where they’re going with it but I’m sure there will be more twists too.
“But the big storyline we are working on at the minute, I am looking forward to seeing the reaction to it.
“It’s a huge storyline that is coming up, and it is gonna rock us as a family.”
Dropping hints about what fans can anticipate from the Driscolls after Eva Price’s “mother-in-law from hell” Maggie’s arrival, Aaron revealed there are plenty of dramatic moments on the horizon.
He said: “There’s lots of fun, lots of secrets and lots of in-fighting. Right now we are letting the audience get to know us and taking it from there. It’s gonna be a lot of fun in The Rovers, very raucous.
“There’s a scene that I can’t go too much into during the Halloween party where I meet one of Eva’s exes in a very funny way. It was done quite well.”
Aaron also offered us a sneak peek at Christmas, with the Driscoll family destined to take centre stage in the Christmas Day episode.
He revealed: “It’s dramatic, boozy and chaotic. It’s revealing too, and heartbreaking.
“There is plenty of fun though. I don’t know much about the crossover coming up, but I know the cast are having a very good time filming it.”
With talk of heartbreak this Christmas, perhaps this marks the moment when the family’s massive and shocking storyline will unfold. Regardless, Aaron’s absolutely loving his stint on the programme.
He said: “It’s been good so far, we’ll see what happens. I’m really enjoying it. It is really nice to see the familiar faces in a new job having already had mates here. I know people say it all the time but it’s a lovely, lovely place to work.”
