Stomach-churning paedophilia storyline kicks off on Coronation Street with back alley grooming scenes leaving viewers sickened

Coronation Street viewers have been left sickened by a new stomach-churning paedophilia storyline.

With horrifying back-alley grooming scenes, one of the most shocking storylines to emerge from the cobbles is currently underway following the arrival of the Driscoll family.

The family moved into Coronation Street only last week and at the time, their youngest son, Will (Lucas Hodgson-Wale), 15, was away on a school trip.

However, it soon emerged that something was seriously amiss when Will did not return from the trip on time.

Following the involvement of the police, Will turned up to his parents’ relief after he goes into the Rovers garden underage and encounters Lily Platt (Grace-Ashcroft Gardner) studying.

In a bid to stay on the run longer, he tries to pay her to get his passport from his parents’ house, but she refuses and lets Will’s family know – prompting even more serious concerns for his welfare.

Will is eventually forced to let his family know that he is okay when he turns up at the Rovers once again, this time with his sports coach, Megan.

She tells the family that she had discovered him camping on his own and did the responsible thing of bringing him straight back home.

But little do they know that she has been grooming him the entire time.

Smelling a rat, Will’s dad Ben Driscoll (Aaron McCusker) asks why she did not phone them to tell them know the teen was okay, Megan said it was because she feared that Will would run off again.

Later that night, Will sneaks off to meet Megan again in an alleyway and she warns him to stop acting so irrationally.

In disturbing scenes, the paedophile assures the teenager that their relationship will be able to continue if he listens to her.

But despite his return home, Ben remains baffled as to why his son disappeared in the first place.

This has left viewers on the edge of their seat as they wait to find out whether the grooming will come to light.
