A CORONATION Street actor has accidentally revealed a huge show spoiler after exposing tributes connected to a future character death.

An extra who plays a medic in the ITV soap took to TikTok to share behind-the-scenes video whilst filming on the iconic cobbled streets.

The now deleted post showed the set including a quick shot of a memorial tribute covered in flowers and cards.

Eagle-eyed fans were quick to notice the mistake, noting that it could mark the death of clergyman Billy Mayhew as they were placed outside the door of his flat.

Fans took to social media to share their reactions on the revelation, one user said: “This is probably Billy’s demise.”

“I’m guessing it’s Billy,” penned another.

A third commented: “Gosh, the aftermath of this is gonna be atrocious.”

A fourth wrote:“If that is Christmas time then his death is probably around Christmas time. The flowers would be there for a few weeks afterwards.

“Also, where the flowers are suggests what I thought – Theo deliberately runs him over,” they added.

It has recently been revealed that Daniel Brocklebank – who plays Billy – will be bowing out of the show after a long stint.

Speaking exclusively to The Sun, a source said: “It’s the end of an era for the show with Billy’s time on the cobbles coming to an end.

“He’s been central to some of Corrie’s biggest storylines in the past decade but all things come to an end.”

Actor Daniel has finished filming and has begun rehearsals for his new job after landing a starring role in Young Frankenstein at the Liverpool Everyman Playhouse.

Earlier this year, The Sun revealed that bosses had decided to bring an end to the character in a ‘story-based decision.’

Confirming his exit, Daniel said: “I have been working on Corrie for a quarter of my life.

“I have adored every minute I have been in that building and have never not looked forward to going into work.

“I love everyone who works on this show and whilst I am sad to be going, I am equally excited to see what the future holds.”

Corrie producer Kate Brooks also said: “Billy will be involved in a major storyline over the coming months, which will see him tested in ways he never imagined, as friendships and his faith are pushed to the limit

“We’re incredibly sad to bid farewell to Dan, who has been fantastic in some of Corrie’s biggest storylines over the past few years, most notably Paul’s MND.

“An actor of immeasurable talent and skill, and an absolute treasure behind the scenes – he will be missed by all of us on the cobbles.”

Actor Daniel joined the soap in 2014 as Sean Tully’s new love interest and quickly established himself as a supportive character on the cobbles.

However not long after, Billy became a more standard Corrie character having affairs, being revealed as the unwitting killer of Ken Barlow’s daughter Susan and then descending into heroin addiction.

More recently he’s become embroiled in pal and ex Todd Grimshaw’s ordeal as abusive boyfriend Theo tightens his grip on him.
