DOOL Spoilers: Did Javi Quit His Fireman-EMT Career Because He Couldn’t Save His Child?
Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates reveal there may have been a very good reason that Javi Hernandez (Al Calderon) quit his previous fireman-EMT career.
It was recently revealed he lost a daughter-may he have quit because he couldn’t save his child?
When Javi First Came To Salem, There Was Some Discussion About His Former Career
Viewers will recall that when Javi first came to Salem, there was some discussion about his former career and a tragic circumstance that caused him to quit.
It seems like his family all knew about it-even Ari Horton (Marissa Reyes) knew about what happened when he was a probational firefighter-EMT in Corpus Christi, Texas.
More recently, he revealed his loss to Melinda Trask (Tina Huang) in connection to possibly adopting baby Tesoro (uncredited).
While Javi didn’t go through with pursuing the adoption further at that point, Melinda empathized and mentioned she’d lost a daughter as well.
That was Haley Chen (Thia Megia) who was the victim of a fall down the stairs caused by a grief crazed Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk).
Javi Was Concerned About Background Checks
Javi was concerned about background checks, but it’s doubtful that Javi did anything to contribute to the loss of his daughter, and how the baby came about was not revealed.
Since we know he is involved with Leo Stark (Greg Rikaart) we can assume he is gay-but he could be bi as well, and been involved with a woman, creating the baby.
Or he could have been a sperm donor and been in an arrangement to raise the baby girl with either the mother or another male.
The mother could have been a surrogate, but to make a long story short it’s obvious that Javi loved the baby girl who he told Melinda was his daughter. He carries a photo of him holding the baby and has been seen looking at it sadly.
Could There Have Been A Fire And Javi Was Unable To Save His Daughter?
It sounds like the backstory of Javi’s daughter dying and his former fireman-EMT career he started in Corpus Christi have to be related.
Even though since, he has picked up his career again and is at the Salem firehouse, there has to be a reason for the trauma hinted that caused him to give up previously. Could there have been a fire and Javi couldn’t save his baby daughter, and she perished in it?
That would be a very good reason for a probational firefighter-EMT to give up on his career and it be too painful.
Coming to Salem has given Javi a new start and now he’s in a new relationship, will the backstory of his daughter and her death in a fire soon be revealed?
