Watch the Premiere at no Charge With Streaming Services

Viewers can also tune into the show through streaming services like DIRECT TV and FuboTV. Fubo offers a seven-day free trial, allowing Grey’s fans to tune in to the first episode at no charge.

Fubo has several live TV plans, such as its Pro Plan, which is currently $54.99 a month with a $30 off the first month deal. The plan gives you access to over 200 channels, including ABC, Fox, CBS and NBC.

DIRECT TV also offers a free subscription, giving viewers time to test out the service before committing to a plan.

Several Characters in Danger During Season Premiere

The season premiere follows a cliffhanger that left fans worried a character would die this season. “Grey’s Anatomy” showrunner Meg Marinis teased in an interview with TV Insider that this season will have a “long road to recovery” for the hospital and doctors.

At the end of season 21, a gas explosion occurred in the hospital, leaving several characters in a state of panic.

A trailer teasing the new season showed that some characters like Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone), Meredith Grey (Ellen Pompeo) and Owen Hunt (Kevin McKidd) were seemingly safe.

TV Insider confirmed that six beloved characters remain in danger due to the gas explosion, including core originals like Miranda Bailey (Chandra Wilson) and Richard Webber (James Pickens Jr.)

James Pickens Jr.

The other characters at risk include Atticus ‘Link’ Lincoln (Chris Carmack), Jules Millin (Adelaide Kane), Lucas Adams (Niko Terho) and Monica Beltran (Natalie Morales).

Episodes are expected to release on Thursday nights with the possibility of breaks throughout the season due to holidays, PEOPLE reported.

The show took a hiatus after the fall finale in November 2024, PEOPLE noted, with the show returning in March 2025.

The names of the first two episodes were previously revealed, with October 9th’s episode titled “Only the Strong Survive” and October 16th’s “We Built This City.”

The episode titles appear on theme with a potential character death and the necessary rebuilding of the hospital after the gas explosion.

For those needing to catch up on the latest season, they can find season 21 on Netflix, Hulu, Disney+, Fandango and Amazon Prime Video.
