The first season of “Dutton Ranch” will have nine episodes, according to the Salem Statesman Journal.
Here is the release schedule for season 1 of “Dutton Ranch,” per Esquire.
“Dutton Ranch” is centered on the life of Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler after the events of “Yellowstone.”
The series follows the couple as they begin a new life in South Texas after leaving the original Dutton land following a destructive wildfire. In the new series, Dutton and Wheeler manage a sprawling ranch in the Lone Star state while navigating ongoing threats, financial pressure, rival operations and raising their surrogate son, Carter.
According to USA TODAY, “Dutton Ranch” was shot primarily outdoors around north-central Texas, near creator Taylor Sheridan’s studio outside Fort Worth.

Yes, Taylor Sheridan is the executive producer of “Dutton Ranch.” Although he was the sole writer credited on “Yellowstone” and its two prequels, “1883” and “1923,” Paramount tapped writer and producer Chad Feehan to serve as the creator and showrunner of “Dutton Ranch,” per Market Watch.
However, Tech Radar reported Feehan left “Dutton Ranch” in April, just weeks before the series aired, due to alleged “behind-the-scenes friction” with Hauser, Reilly and other “key players.”
