The ‘Yellowstone’ universe just exploded—you won’t believe the new spinoff dropping this week!
May 11, 2026, 6:01 a.m. PT
The long-awaited “Dutton Ranch” premiere is set for May 15, debuting with two episodes that introduce life after “Yellowstone” for fan-favorite couple Beth Dutton and Rip Wheeler.
The show will follow Beth, played by Kelly Reilly, and Rip, played by Cole Hauser, as they embark on a new journey, leaving Montana and the Yellowstone family secrets behind, and settling down on a ranch of their own in South Texas.
“Dutton Ranch” is one of two “Yellowstone” spinoffs that launch in 2026, alongside “Marshals,” which focuses on Beth’s brother Kayce Dutton, played by Luke Grimes, and premiered on CBS in March.
A recent trailer for the show hinted that while the Texas territory may be unfamiliar, survival, legacy and control will once again be on the line, and family secrets may not stay buried.
The series promises the same high-stakes drama as “Yellowstone” with new secrets, shifting power dynamics and heart pounding tension as Beth and Rip try to build a new life in Texas.
Here’s what to know about “Dutton Ranch” ahead of the premiere.
~”Yellowstone” spoilers ahead~
In the closing moments of “Yellowstone” Rip stands by Beth as she avenges the murder of her father, John Dutton, facing off against her adopted brother Jamie Dutton, played by Wes Bentley.
The confrontation proves fatal for Jamie and sets the stage for Beth and Rip to move forward and forge a future away from Yellowstone.

“Dutton Ranch” is set in Texas and picks up after the events of “Yellowstone.” Beth and Rip begin a new life, leaving behind the original Dutton land, and attempt to build a future together somewhere new.
The show follows the couple as they manage a sprawling Texas ranch while navigating ongoing threats, financial pressure and rival operations that could put everything they’ve built at risk.
At the same time, they continue to raise their quasi-adopted son Carter, adding a more personal dynamic to their story.
The latest “Dutton Ranch” trailer shows Beth questioning whether their new life in Texas will work.
It suggests the couple’s secrets are beginning to surface, with haunting images of a shallow grave, while also suggesting that their past is catching up to them in scenes showing Rip seemingly dumping a body down a mine shaft, promising the same high-stakes drama seen in “Yellowstone.”
The trailer also hints that the season’s villain is the matriarch of a neighboring ranch, who appears willing to go to the same lengths as Beth and Rip to protect her land and secrets.
Alongside Reilly and Hauser, several new cast members are joining the series, including Annette Bening and Ed Harris. Finn Little is also reprising his role as Carter.

Harris plays Everett McKinney, a hardened veteran and veterinarian, and Bening will play Beulah Jackson, the powerful head of a major ranch in Texas and potential antagonist to Beth.
“Dutton Ranch” premiere with two episodes at 8 p.m. local time May 15 on Paramount+, with episodes also airing on Paramount Network.
The nine‑episode series will stream every Friday.
