On the September 18 episode of Days of our Lives, Holly complained to Ari, while Tate manipulated Sophia. And this is the Salem young couple we should be rooting for?

When you combine the names Holly (Ashley Puzemis) and Tate (Leo Howard) into one of those cute, smooshed monikers, you get: HAte. And that’s how we’re feeling about the young lovers these days.

We understand that Sophia (Rachel Boyd) has lied about the fate of her and Tate’s baby boy. We know what she did, and we also know why she did it (we even sympathize). But here’s the thing: Tate and Holly don’t know. They suspect, but they don’t know. Which means that they’re both being unreasonable. And very unsympathetic.

Decking Holly

Holly was whining to Ari (Marissa Reyes) about how Sophia wants Tate back. Did you know that the last time Holly dumped Tate, evil Sophia swooped in and had sex with him and got pregnant, and she did it all to stick it to Holly? (Because getting pregnant certainly didn’t hurt Sophia most of all.)

Now, Sophia Daresto speaks to Tate without Holly’s permission! The girl is a schemer—that’s what she is! Does Holly think this makes her seem sympathetic? Well, Holly certainly does, but she’s a dumb kid. It most certainly does not.

Lousy Man Tate

But Tate is even worse! Holly, at least, wasn’t responsible for Sophia’s situation. Tate was. He is just as responsible as Sophia. And his behavior is responsible for making Sophia feel like she had no choice but to give up their child.

Now, Tate is using Sophia’s trauma and lingering feelings for him to get what he wants. He even kissed her! And then he looked longingly at a photo of Holly. That’s just cruel. I don’t want Sophia to get Tate. I don’t want Holly to get Tate. I want him to suffer. Because they are being insufferable.
