Days of our Lives is about to throw two beloved Salem couples into an adoption war over Tesoro. Let’s take a look at which couple would be the best fit for the baby boy no one knows is Tate and Sophia’s.

Leo and Javi

The pros to this rock solid couple adopting Tesoro is that not only are they a stable couple, but Javi (Al Calderon) has previously fathered a daughter. Things may have ended in heartbreak, but it doesn’t take away from Javi’s capability to be a dad.

As for cons, while they have being an unmarried gay couple against them in the eyes of adoption agencies, there are many more things that could prevent them from keeping Tesoro, starting with Leo’s (Greg Rikaart) past. Delivering Jude and knowingly allowing Sloan (Jessica Serfaty) to pass him off as hers instead of Nicole’s (Arianne Zucker) is one of many red flags from Leo’s no good past that could resurface as they pursue adoption.

Johnny (Carson Boatman) and Chanel (Raven Bowens, who recently teased her character’s upcoming adoption storyline) are two Salem sweethearts who come from major families. They could have a lot of powerful people on their side – like Paulina (Jackée Harry) and her mayoral influence – but odds are, the couple will secure the adoption on their own merit.

That is, of course, unless their laundry lists of past almost-crimes comes back to bite them. The most recent offense was Johnny threatening his father’s life at gunpoint, but we can’t forget the time Chanel took the fall for Johnny after he committed an assault. These two are the center of crimes more often than not, so if the adoption agency does their research, they’ll learn a lot of unsettling things about the couple.
