đ„ FANS LEFT STUNNED! Yellowstone Actor Casts Doubt on Long-Awaited â6666â Spinoff
Hold your horses.
âYellowstoneâ actor Jefferson White is not sure if one of the cowboy franchiseâs hotly anticipated spinoff shows is still happening.
White recently told The Daily Mail, âNot that I know of now,â when asked if heâll reprise his role for the planned spinoff â6666.â
âI kept my fingers crossed, but also, Iâd be grateful if I got to do more and Iâm grateful for what I got to do. I donât want to be selfish,â he said. âWe got a lot of great mileage out of that show.â
The Post reached out to Paramount for comment.
Paramount announced the show â6666â in Feb. 2021. Set on Texasâ historic Four Sixes Ranch â which âYellowstoneâ mastermind Taylor Sheridan bought in real life â the show would follow Jimmy (White) after the events of âYellowstone.â
Since 2022, Sheridan has owned that iconic ranch. Itâs famous in cowboy circles, and it was controlled by a family dynasty for over a century.
Per the Austin American Statesman, Sheridan buying the 266,000-acre property marked its first-ever purchase since its founding in 1870.
âYellowstoneâ aired for five seasons on Paramount from 2018 to 2024, ending amid rumors of an alleged feud between Sheridan and star Kevin Costner. The plot centered on the Dutton family, including patriarch John (Costner) and his adult children Kayce (Luke Grimes), Jamie (Wes Bentley), Beth (Kelly Reilly) and Bethâs husband, Rip (Cole Hauser).
Thereâs a spinoff in the works for Kayce called âY:Marshallsâ premiering on CBS in March. Thereâs also a Beth and Rip spinoff in the works. Rumored to be called âThe Dutton Ranch,â it premieres at an unannounced date in 2026.
However, â6666â was also in the works, but according to White, heâs heard crickets about it.
Matters have also been complicated with the shocking news that Sheridan is exiting Paramount to sign an NBCUniversal deal reportedly worth $1 billion.
His TV deal with Paramount doesnât officially end until 2028, and future shows in the âYellowstoneâ world will still live on Paramount â but perhaps he doesnât have much incentive amid the move.
âI grew up in the shadow of the Four Sixes,â he told The Hollywood Reporter in 2023.
âTo just get one of their horses was a status symbol, because theyâre so well trained,â he explained. âThis was the ranch I based [âYellowstoneâsâ] scope and operation on, because it didnât exist in Montana. Most ranches there had already been carved up. Theyâd already lost it.â
